No. 3 NC State women’s basketball postpones next 2…
NC State‘s women’s basketball team, which is undefeated and tied at No. 3 in The Associated Press poll with UConn, had its next two games postponed because of a positive COVID-19 test and contact tracing in the program.
The Wolfpack (10-0) were to play at Virginia Tech on Thursday and at Wake Forest on Sunday. Now, No. 2 Louisville will travel to Virginia Tech on Thursday, and Boston College will travel to Wake Forest on Sunday. Both those games were previously scheduled for later this season.
NC State is coming off a 76-57 victory over Boston College this past Sunday. Along with NC State, three other ACC women’s basketball programs are currently paused for COVID-19 protocol: North Carolina, Syracuse and Pitt.
Duke canceled its season Dec. 25 because of COVID-19 concerns.
The ACC also announced Tuesday that four other previously postponed women’s games have been rescheduled: Miami will be at Louisville on Jan. 26, Virginia travels to Virginia Tech on Feb. 2, Miami visits Georgia Tech on Feb. 16, and Florida State visits Louisville on Feb. 23.
